I have been lucky to have been working on bodies since 1988 when I was first trained as a Massage Therapist. Some of my favorite types of massage therapy include Reflexology, Tui Na, Lymphatic massage and Facia work.
In my first 10 years doing massage, I came across a lot of people who needed more than massage so I decided to go back to school. I chose Acupuncture as my mode of healing because it covered a complete and rich medical model that complemented my interests and personal need for an alternative type of medicine. I am allergic to many western pharmaceuticals and needed alternative medicine myself. Luckily I was living in San Diego where a wonderful school, Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, was based.
Since I started out as a Massage Therapist, the healing touch comes naturally to me as I work as an Acupuncturist. My treatment style emphasizes Japanese Acupuncture which focuses on feeling for the meridian points through touch and palpation. This enables me to get to know each individual’s bodies way of handling stress, anxiety, and directly focus on balancing the body.
I am very grateful that my patients allow me the privilege on working on their most prized asset, their bodies.
